Book for Esther- Week 7 – Day 4

October 16, 2014

Esther 7: 7-8

The King got up in a fury, left the room, and went outside to the palace gardens. Haman could see that the king was determined to punish him for this, so he stayed behind to beg Queen Esther for his life. He had just thrown himself down on Esther’s couch to beg for mercy when the king came back into the room from the gardens. Seeing this, the king cried out, ” Is this man going to rape the queen right here in front of me, in my own palace?” The king had no sooner said this than the eunuchs covered Haman’s head.

Proverbs 16: 4

Everything the LORD has made has its destiny; and the destiny of the wicked is destruction.

Haman did something wrong  and the King was going to punish him for his wrongdoing. He was scared of the impending punishment and tried to do everything to escape judgement. He’s pleas came to naught as he was punished in the end.

Everything has it’s price that has to be paid. It has all be predefined by the LORD. As they say if you don’t want to be punished  then don’t commit any evil.  You cannot get away with your wrong doings.

Dear GOD,

Let me ponder before doing anything rash out of anger or hurt which I may regret later. Do not let me be swayed by the ways of the wicked and vicious in this world.
